In This Issue January Issue

Handling humidity

With heating in full use in homes and commercial buildings, the effects on humidity can be critical. As such this is one the few times of the year in which HVR tackles the issue of humidification.

However, installers are susceptible to certain pitfalls because projects involving humidification are not regularly undertaken by most HVAC contractors. To help out, UK sales manager at Condair Dave Marshall-George delivers some essential advice on pg 16 on what to look for.

The subject of humidification also plays a critical role in IAQ which was so widely reported on in 2018 with regards to its effects on environments at work and at home.

On pg 17, John Barker of Humidity Solutions explores the urgent need for humidity control given that most of us spend 90 per cent of our time indoors.

Also in HVR January, we explore the unique needs of light commercial installations and some of the solutions on the market; innovations in pipes and valves and the topical subject of wellbeing in buildings starting on pg 28.

Our HVR Domestic supplement beginning on pg 31 includes a must-read feature on fuel cell technology and its potential for the future of heating homes.

Happy New Year!
